Through an effective customer story campaign, we helped Dell and Deloitte showcase the best of AI and their unique relationship.
About Dell Technologies
Born out of a Texas dorm room in 1984, Dell has grown to become one of the world’s leading technology brands. The company is driving digital progress forward with innovative cloud solutions, edge computing, and, of course, state-of-the-art laptops and PCs. AI is the latest addition to Dell’s portfolio, with the tech giant striving to make the technology as impactful and accessible as possible to customers around the globe.
Challenge
With many AI providers vying for attention in a teeming marketplace, it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd. But Deloitte is one of the largest accounting firms in the world, and a valued Dell customer. Dell wanted to cut through the noise and showcase the efficiencies Deloitte achieved through its 7000+ AI-enabled laptops—fixing tedious tasks from automated data entry and document review to data analytics.
Solution
We conducted pre-interview calls with Deloitte’s Chief Commercial Officer and its Global AI Leader for Technology to propose a compelling storyline. Our story lens centred on how Dell’s in-built AI capabilities simplified developers’ complex workloads, enabled offline working, and reduced time spent on repetitive tasks—while highlighting the intuitive relationship between the two companies.
We conducted and recorded in-person interviews with the two Deloitte experts, gathering all the information we needed to create a series of assets. Our aim was to encourage both interviewees to reference the same goals highlighted in our interview and story lens documents. For our strategy to work, we needed two perspectives: one discussing the relationship and business benefits of Dell’s AI features, with the other focussing on the technical and time-saving benefits for Deloitte’s workers.
From this, we successfully created a compelling customer story video, an infographic, a sharply written case study, and snappy social videos to promote the longer-form customer story assets.
Results
Our customer story assets received excellent feedback from both Dell and Deloitte, and have been posted on a dedicated Dell/Deloitte webpage for customers to browse. Our finely tuned process sets us up perfectly for many more customer story campaigns to come.
