Everyone at Luxid and TriComB2B was super excited when the acquisition was announced last week. And it’s clear from the buzz in the press and on social media that we were not the only ones!

Leading Finnish financial newspaper Kauppalehti spoke with Luxid’s CEO Pasi Voho about the acquisition of TriComB2B and of our plans to become one of the world’s leading data-driven marketing companies. Pasi told Kauppalehti about the great synergies between Luxid and TriComB2B and of the international growth ambitions of the newly combined business.

Pasi explained how Luxid has long been a member of BBN and that it was through this network of independent agencies that Luxid came across TriComB2B in Dayton, Ohio. He told Kauppalehti that TriComB2B has a similar profile to Luxid, with many clients in manufacturing.

Kauppalehti paid tribute to the forward-thinking, digital focus of Luxid’s growing business: “Where a traditional advertising agency’s key roles might have been copywriter, art director, and project manager, Luxid employs people with titles like data scientist, data engineer, technical architect, developer, consultant, and UX designer. Around 60% of the company’s workforce consists of technology experts”.

In the US, Dayton Business Journal said Luxid’s acquisition of “Dayton’s third largest advertising agency” would significantly increase its business in the US, and add substantially to the company’s marketing value proposition.

"Marketing and sales sit at the top table in US business. And as key drivers of business growth, they're on the daily agendas of most American corporate leaders,” Pasi told Dayton Business Journal. “This presents a fantastic opportunity for a technology-enabled company headquartered in Finland, with expertise in automation and predictive capabilities, to meet the needs of US companies.”

In its story, Dayton Business Journal explained that the acquisition would see Luxid expand to having more than 160 employees. It confirmed that TriComB2B principals Chris Eifert and John Buscemi will lead Luxid's US business, serving as managing directors.

Leading marketing magazine Campaign US also covered the important acquisition news in its Movers & Shakers section.

In the UK, we had a great shout out on LinkedIn from Joel Harrison, B2B Marketing’s Founder and Editor-at-Large. “#b2bmarketing is a small world, and in the nicest possible way, it seems to be getting smaller, with more and more transatlantic co-operation and alignment,” said Joel. “And this news from Luxid and TriComB2B (acquired by Luxid) is the latest example - and excellent news for both parties, adding scale and reach and giving the combined entity true global reach, as well as being complementary in terms of skills and services.

Joel added: “Congrats to all concerned, but particularly Chris Eifert who is a true gentleman, not to mention being a great agency leader. I'm sure this will be the start of an exciting new chapter for all concerned!”

UK marketing magazine Mediashotz flagged the key experience that TriComB2B brings in public relations. US Managing Director Chris Eifert told Mediashotz about how employees from both companies have collaborated on business opportunities as members of BBN: “Through more than a year of dialogue, it’s become clear our teams share a passion for the highest levels of client satisfaction, both in terms of results delivered and everyday attentiveness.”

Chris added: “We also believe in the cultural intangibles that have made Luxid and TriComB2B workplaces special environments that are the envy of other agencies. Our aim is to continue to use this advantage to attract the best talent in B2B as we begin our US expansion.”

And in Finland, leading marketing media Markkinointiuutiset spoke of how TriComB2B is one of the fastest growing companies in the sector and of how the acquisition would strengthen the company's expertise in brand strategy, creative work, and digital media.

“TriCom B2B is one of the fastest-growing companies in its sector and has been named as one of the top 30 B2B marketing agencies in the United States,” said Markkinointiuutiset.

Finnish IT title Tivi also interviewed Luxid chairman Petri Niemi. He spoke about becoming chairman of the board and of Luxid’s growth plans: "I was particularly interested in Luxid’s strong use of data and AI. The company is working to provide customers with advanced AI-assisted services."
