Luxid’s Naomi Braithwaite knew early on life what she wanted to be and followed her dreams. “When I was young I really wanted to become a filmmaker,” explains Naomi. “However, I quickly found my passion was in the motion design space, which allowed me to create my own pieces using just a computer and programmes such as 3Ds Max, Cinema 4D , and After effects.”

With this discovery, there was simply no stopping Naomi and she pursued her passion in 3D design and motion graphics. She says that everything and anything now inspires her: “I could be driving in my car and notice certain objects and colours that suddenly inspire me and then it makes me want to re-create something similar in 3D or 2D software.”

Naomi follows many different artists and creatives that inspire her. “An artist named Dima Flood has created some fabulous 3D animations and another artist I am currently following creates beautiful generative art for immersive experiences.”

She says that she’s passionate about creative problem solving and storytelling through movement and visuals. “I love taking abstract ideas and turning them into dynamic, engaging experiences that not only capture attention but also communicate a message in a clear and impactful way,” says Naomi. And she’s constantly looking to expand her knowledge and skills, and is currently pushing into the 3D clothing space using a program called Marvellous Designer.

All of this talent, passion and experience is being applied in Naomi’s role at Luxid, where she is a 2D and 3D Designer. Naomi creates dynamic animations that help bring ideas and stories to life. She works closely with clients and the strategy team to develop engaging visuals that communicate complex concepts in a simple, impactful way.

“What I love most about my role is the freedom to experiment with different styles and techniques, whether it’s pushing the boundaries of 3D design or refining the details in a 2D animation,” says Naomi. “The collaborative environment at Luxid also fuels my creativity, allowing me to learn from others and contribute to.”

Right now, Naomi is working on 2D and 3D concepts for some exciting winter projects for Crocs and she’s also editing video content for AWS, focusing on creating high-quality visuals for their collaborations with tech start-ups.

Naomi says she chose to work at Luxid because of its innovative and collaborative environment. “Luxid’s commitment to staying ahead of trends and blending creativity with technology aligns perfectly with my passion for using design to communicate ideas.”

She says that it’s the culture that makes Luxid so different, with the company’s commitment to living and breathing its values. For Naomi, Driven is the Luxid value she most relates to. “I love to keep picking at a problem and coming up with solutions until the problem has gone.  I’m always seeking opportunities to learn and grow, whether it's mastering new design techniques, experimenting with fresh concepts, or collaborating with the team to bring innovative solutions to life.”

Outside of work, Naomi is keen on music – anything from classical through afrobeats and R&B. And like many of her colleagues at Luxid, she loves to travel. Turkey is currently her favourite destination. And if Naomi could choose to do anything for a day? “I’d travel to a new place and spend the day learning about local culture while finding ways to help people in need, especially those experiencing homelessness.”

If like Naomi, you have a passion for creativity, design and working collaboratively to solve client challenges, then Luxid could be just the place for you. All you need to know about careers at Luxid can be found here.
